UPSC ISS Exam 2020: Union Public Service Commission has released notification for Indian Statistical Service Examination. Number of vacancies are 47 (01 vacancy reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities). All interested candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Age Limit for UPSC ISS Exam 2020:
Minimum age required to appear for the exam is 21 Years and Maximum age is 30 Years as on 1st August, 2020. Therefore you must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1990 and not later than 1st August, 1999.Also, there is a age relaxation for reserved category candidates.
Educational Qualification Requirements:
A candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subject or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or a Foreign University approved by the Central Government from time to time.
Selection Procedure for UPSC ISS Exam 2020:
The selection process for UPSC ISS Recruitment involves two successive phases:
- Written Exam
- Viva (Interview)
The UPSC ISS 2020 exam begins from 16 October and will be held for three days. The exam is of total 1000 marks. There is penalty of negative marking for wrong answers. On the other hand, the UPSC ISS Interview is of 200 marks.
